The SMA Sunny Tripower X 20kW is a three-phase grid-tied solar inverter for PV systems. It is designed for DC-to-AC conversion in rooftop and residential-scale solar installations, with three MPP trackers, IP65 protection and integrated ShadeFix and ArcFix functions.
3 / 3-(N)-PE AC connection with nominal voltage options including 230 V / 400 V for three-phase PV systems.
Three independent MPP trackers with two strings per tracker to support array design flexibility.
MPP voltage range of 340 V to 800 V, maximum input voltage of 1000 V and maximum input current of 24 A per MPP tracker.
ShadeFix is included for partial shading conditions, and ArcFix provides arc-fault detection with feed-in shutdown.
Ingress protection to IP65 for installation in outdoor or protected environments.
STP 20-50 rated power is 20,000 W with rated apparent power of 20,000 VA. Maximum PV array power is 30,000 Wp (STC). DC input specifications include 1000 V maximum input voltage, 340 V to 800 V MPP range, 150 V minimum input voltage and 188 V initial input voltage. AC output is three-phase with rated output current of 29 A and maximum output current of 36.6 A. Maximum efficiency is 98.3% and European efficiency is 97.9%.
Wall mounting. DC connection via SUNCLIX and AC connection via spring-cage terminal. IP65 enclosure supports outdoor or protected-environment installation. Operating temperature range is -25°C to +60°C.
