The SMA Sunny Home Manager 2.0 is an energy manager with integrated measuring device for PV self-consumption optimisation and household energy monitoring. It measures purchased electricity and grid feed-in at the grid connection point, with supported control and analysis functions for connected loads and SMA devices.
Measures purchased electricity and grid feed-in at the grid connection point, with an alternative application for PV generation measurement.
Uses local PV generation forecasts and the measured household consumption profile to provide energy-related action recommendations.
Provides an overview of relevant appliances, PV generation and energy flows in the household.
Connects to appliances via direct data connection (EEBUS, SEMP) or a switchable radio-controlled socket.
Top-hat rail mounting for switch or meter cabinet installation, with 4 module width and 0.3 kg weight.
Type designation HM-20. Energy manager with integrated measuring device. Nominal voltage 230 V/400 V, frequency 50 Hz/±5%. Measurement accuracy 1% with 1000 ms measuring cycle. Standard application is measurement of purchased electricity and grid feed-in at the grid connection point; alternative application is PV generation measurement. Connection to local router via Ethernet cable (10/100 Mbit/s, RJ45). Supports appliance connection via EEBUS, SEMP or switchable radio-controlled socket. Up to 24 devices in the system, of which up to 12 can be appliances in active energy management. Ambient temperature range –25°C to +40°C. Degree of protection IP2X. Self-consumption < 3 W.
Mount in a switch or meter cabinet on a top-hat rail. Connect to the local router using an Ethernet cable. The unit operates at the grid connection point. Ethernet or WLAN connection via local router is stated for compatible SMA PV inverters and battery systems.
Supports PV self-consumption optimisation and coordinated control of appliances. The datasheet states that it can reduce electricity costs and improve use of self-generated solar energy. Self-consumption is below 3 W.
