Viridian ArcBox is a solar connector enclosure for containing a DC connector within a hinged protective housing. It is intended for solar PV connector installations where arc containment and protection around the connection point are required, with stated use cases including BIPV and higher-risk roof applications.
Two hinged halves snap together around the DC connector for enclosed installation.
Includes a high-temperature refractory lining material within the enclosure.
Ports are provided to help manage temperature and reduce moisture accumulation.
Uses cable sealing grommets at each end to retain the connector between the cable entries.
Specified for ambient temperatures from -40 to +85 °C.
