The Victron Energy Skylla-IP65 is a 24V battery charger with a 35A output and three isolated charging outputs. It is intended for charging multiple battery banks and for use where an IP65-rated charger is required. The unit also supports use as a stabilised DC power supply.
Supplies three battery banks, with each output able to deliver the full rated charge current.
Protected enclosure with steel epoxy powder coated housing and acrylic-coated circuit boards for use in demanding environments.
Adaptive charge algorithm with absorption, float and storage stages for controlled battery charging.
Battery temperature sensing supports automatic charge voltage compensation as battery temperature changes.
CAN-bus interface with two RJ45 connectors for synchronised parallel operation and remote system integration.
24V charger with 35A charge current, 120/230V input and 90-265V input range. Power factor is 0.98. Charge voltages are 28.8V absorption, 27.6V float and 26.4V storage. Battery capacity range is 150-350Ah. Operating temperature range is -20 to 60°C, with full output current up to 40°C. Protection category is IP65.
230VAC connection uses screw-clamp 6mm² (AWG 10). Battery connection uses M6 bolts. VE.Can uses two RJ45 connectors and is not isolated. Remote on-off port can be connected to a Li-Ion BMS. Forced cooling is by internal air circulation.
Power factor is 0.98. Variable absorption time helps avoid unnecessary prolonged absorption after shallow discharge. Storage mode reduces float voltage after 24 hours without discharge. Temperature compensation is provided via the included sensor.
