Technical Summary

Skylla-i 24/100 (1+1) battery charger with 230 V AC input, 185-265 V AC input range, 180-350 V DC input range and 45-65 Hz frequency. Charge current is 100 A on the main output and 4 A on the starter battery output. Charge voltages are 28.8 V absorption, 27.6 V float and 26.4 V storage. Operating temperature range is -20 to 60°C, with full output current up to 40°C. Enclosure is IP21, aluminium, 405 x 250 x 150 mm and 7 kg.

Installation Notes

Battery connection uses M8 bolts. 230 VAC connection uses screw-clamp terminals for 10 mm² (AWG 7) cable. VE.Can communication uses two RJ45 connectors with NMEA2000 protocol. Remote on-off can be connected to a Li-Ion BMS. Several chargers can be linked for synchronised parallel operation.

Efficiency

Power factor is 0.98. Temperature compensation reduces charge voltage as battery temperature rises. Storage mode lowers float voltage to 2.2 V/cell after 24 hours without discharge to reduce gassing and corrosion.
