The SolarEdge S500 Power Optimizer is a module-level DC power optimisation device for residential PV systems using SolarEdge residential inverters. It is used to optimise output at individual module level and support safer module-level shutdown.

Module-level power optimiser rated at 500 W DC input, with 60 Vdc absolute maximum input voltage and 8–60 Vdc MPPT operating range. Maximum connected module Isc is 16.5 Adc for SolarEdge Home Hub and Nexis 3ph inverters, and 15 Adc for all other SolarEdge inverters. Maximum output current is 15 Adc and maximum output voltage is 60 Vdc during operation. Safety output voltage is 1 ± 0.1 Vdc in standby. Maximum allowed system voltage is 1000 Vdc. Dimensions are 129 x 155 x 30 mm and weight is 720 g. Protection rating is IP68, with operating temperature range -40 to +85 °C and relative humidity 0–100%.

Installation Notes

Input connector MC4; output connector MC4. Input wire length is 0.1 m. Output wire lengths are 2.3 m positive and 0.10 m negative. Maximum allowed system voltage is 1000 Vdc. Functionality is subject to inverter model and firmware version.
