The SolarEdge PCS050 is a 50 kW AC-coupled battery inverter for on-grid energy storage applications. It is part of the SolarEdge CSS – OD range and is specified for use with a SolarEdge AC-coupled PV system, with backup operation available via the separately purchased SolarEdge Commercial Backup Interface in selected countries.
Rated AC active power output of 50 kW with 55 kVA maximum apparent output power.
Includes reverse polarity protection, grid monitoring, earth fault protection, earth leakage protection, and integrated DC Type II and AC Type III surge protection.
IP65-rated enclosure for installation in more protected indoor or outdoor environments, subject to site conditions.
Maximum inverter efficiency is 97.5%.
Maximum of 2 paralleled battery cabinets per inverter, with cabling extension kit required when paralleling two cabinets on one inverter.

Requires an AC-coupled SolarEdge PV system on site. AC input cable cross section is 25–35 mm² with M6 lugs; use copper cables only and flexible multi-stranded class 6 conductors are recommended. When paralleling two battery cabinets on one inverter, cabling extension kit CSS-O1-C-B01-XX is required. Compatible with Delta/WYE grid types; in backup topology with the SolarEdge Commercial Backup Interface, only 3W + PE are used. On-grid nominal output is 400/230 Vac; during backup the output voltage is 400 V.
Maximum inverter efficiency is 97.5%. The product supports self-consumption, peak shaving and tariff optimisation modes, and uses the SolarEdge ONE optimisation platform for site energy management. Performance warranty is stated as 6000 cycles or 10 years up to 70% SoH.
