The SolarEdge S650B Power Optimizer is a module-level DC optimisation device for residential solar PV systems. It is used with SolarEdge residential inverters to support panel-level power management, voltage shutdown and improved string design flexibility.
Rated for up to 650 W DC input, with a 15 Adc maximum continuous input current.
Supports module-level PV power optimisation and helps reduce mismatch losses caused by tolerance differences and partial shading.
Maximum efficiency is 99.5%, with weighted efficiency of 98.6%.
IP68 rated with an operating temperature range of -40 to +85 °C for rooftop outdoor installation.
Uses MC4 input and output connectors, with dimensions of 129 x 165 x 45 mm and a weight of 790 g.

Functionality of abnormal PV connector behaviour detection depends on inverter model and firmware version. For other connector types, contact SolarEdge. The S650B uses the bent-bracket variant grouping. Do not mix S-series and P-series Power Optimizers in new installations in the same string.
