The SolarEdge S500B Power Optimizer is a module-level DC power optimiser for residential PV systems. It is used to support module-level power optimisation, mismatch mitigation and string design in SolarEdge residential inverter systems.
Supports PV power optimisation at module level to help manage output on a per-module basis.
Specified for 500 W rated input DC power, or 650 W for installations after 1 April 2024. Maximum short-circuit current is 16.5 Adc for SolarEdge Home Hub and Nexis 3ph inverters, and 15 Adc for all other SolarEdge inverters. Absolute maximum input voltage is 85 Vdc.
Maximum efficiency is 99.5%, with weighted efficiency of 98.6%.
Uses MC4 input and output connectors, with short input leads and longer output leads for string wiring.
IP68 protection rating and an operating temperature range of -40 to +85 °C support external PV installation conditions.
